players took part on a very cold day with a delayed start because
of frosted greens. Scoring
proved difficult in the conditions. Tristan
Gurd took the amateur championship with an excellent 32 points, last
9 count back decided the remaining places. James
Ruth had a great day, taking the professional chamionship and
with his partner, John Sanders, claimed the Brian Gripe trophy in
the pairs.
Nick
Williams, the St Enodoc professional, welcomed the Alliance
to the club and presented the prizes. Paul Turpin,
the Alliance Captain, thanked St.Enodoc for hosting the event, the
course was presented in superb condition with the
club hospitality excellent as usual. Next
